What is Shaun Cassidy's Net Worth?

Shaun Cassidy is a singer, actor, producer, and screenwriter who has a net worth of $10 million. The eldest son of actors Shirley Jones and Jack Cassidy, he got his start as a singer in the 1970s with his hit albums "Shaun Cassidy" and "Born Late." Since then, he has acted in many television series and stage productions, and has created and written such television shows as "American Gothic" and "Invasion."

Early Life and Education

Shaun Cassidy was born on September 27, 1958 in Los Angeles, California as the eldest son of Academy Award-winning actress Shirley Jones and Tony Award-winning actor Jack Cassidy. His brothers are Patrick and Ryan; he is also the younger half-brother of actor and singer-songwriter David Cassidy. Due to his parents' work in show business, he grew up in both Los Angeles and New York City, and attended boarding school in Pennsylvania. As a teenager, Cassidy graduated from Beverly Hills High School.

Music Career

While still a high school student, Cassidy signed a contract with Warner Bros. Records. He went on to release his self-titled debut album in 1976 in Europe and Australia, followed by a US release in 1977. The album included Cassidy's cover of the Crystals' "Da Doo Ron Ron," which became a number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100, plus the Eric Carmen-penned "That's Rock 'n' Roll," which reached number three on the chart. Cassidy subsequently released his second album, "Born Late," which yielded the hit single "Hey Deanie." On this album, he began writing his own material, including the tracks "Teen Dream" and "Walk Away."

Following the commercial success of his first two albums, Cassidy's popularity as a singer and teen idol began to decline with his third album, 1978's "Under Wraps." His fourth album, 1979's "Room Service," failed to even chart on the Billboard 200. For his fifth and final album, 1980's "Wasp," Cassidy decided to go in a different musical direction, taking a more rock-oriented approach. The album featured songs penned by Todd Rundgren, as well as covers of songs by such artists as the Animals, the Who, and David Bowie. However, this new, edgier tack was not enough to win back audiences, as the album became Cassidy's second in a row to not chart.

Television Career

Cassidy had his first major acting role from 1977 to 1979, starring as Joe Hardy on the ABC television mystery series "The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries," based on the juvenile novels of the same name. After that, he starred as Dave Stohler on the short-lived series "Breaking Away," a prequel to the Peter Yates film of the same name. In 1987, Cassidy had a regular role on the daytime soap opera "General Hospital" and a guest role on the crime drama series "Murder, She Wrote." The following year, he appeared in the television films "Once Upon a Texas Train" and "Roots: The Gift," and was in an episode of the mystery legal drama series "Matlock."

In the 1990s, Cassidy began writing and producing for television. He wrote the television films "Strays" and "Midnight Run for Your Life," and in 1995 created his first show, the CBS horror series "American Gothic." What is Miguel's Net Worth?

Miguel is an American musician, songwriter, and producer who has a net worth of $12 million.

Miguel released his debut studio album, "All I Want is You," in 2010. One of the album's singles, "Sure Thing," became a global sleeper hit much later due to its extensive use on the video-sharing platform TikTok. Miguel's other albums include "Kaleidoscope Dream," "Wildheart," and "War & Leisure," all of which achieved commercial and critical success.

Early Life

Miguel Jontel Pimentel was born on October 23, 1985 in Los Angeles, California and was raised in San Pedro. He is of African-American and Mexican descent. When Miguel was eight, his parents divorced. Growing up, he was very passionate about music, and in high school was introduced to a member of the production company Drop Squad.

Career Beginnings

Having been introduced to the production company Drop Squad in high school, Miguel began learning the ins and outs of the recording studio. This culminated in him signing a deal with Drop Squad in 2000. Four years later, he signed with the independent record label Black Ice and began working on his debut studio album. However, the album was ultimately shelved, and Miguel chose to leave Black Ice.

Studio Albums and EPs

Miguel signed a recording contract with Jive Records in late 2007. He subsequently recorded the album "All I Want is You," which was to be his official debut. However, his former label Black Ice sued him for breach of contract, putting the release of the album on hold. Following the settlement of his contract dispute with Black Ice, Miguel finally released "All I Want is You" in late 2010. Initially, the album performed poorly on the charts, partly due to the ongoing dissolution of Jive Records. Its singles "Sure Thing" and "Quickie" were solidly successful, however. After falling off the Billboard 200 for three weeks, "All I Want is You" grew into a sleeper hit and steadily climbed the chart before peaking at number 37 in May of 2011. Miguel went on to record his second album, "Kaleidoscope Dream," for RCA Records. A commercial hit, it debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and launched the successful single "Adorn," which reached number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100. The other singles were "Do You…" and "How Many Drinks?"

Miguel released his third studio album, "Wildheart," in the summer of 2015. Another commercial and critical success for the artist, it peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 and earned a pair of Grammy Award nominations, including Best Urban Contemporary Album. In late 2017, Miguel released his fourth studio album, "War & Leisure." Featuring guest appearances by Rick Ross, Travis Scott, J. Cole, and Kali Uchis, among other artists, the album debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200 and reached number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Its lead single, "Sky Walker," became one of Miguel's highest-charting singles as a lead artist, peaking at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100. He went on to release the Spanish-language EP "Te Lo Dije" in 2019, followed by another EP, "Art Dealer Chic 4," in 2021.

Music Collaborations and Contributions

Miguel has collaborated with numerous other recording artists throughout the years. Toward the beginning of his career, he contributed vocals to albums by Blu & Exile, Usher, Asher Roth, and Musiq Soulchild, among others. In the summer of 2013, Miguel had one of his biggest commercial hits with the single "#Beautiful," a collaboration with Mariah Carey. The song peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number three on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. A few years later, Miguel was the opening act for Sia's Nostalgic for the Present Tour. In 2017, he sang a duet of the song "Remember Me" with Natalia Lafourcade for the Pixar animated film "Coco." Among his many other collaborations, Miguel has recorded songs with Alicia Keys, Diplo, Wale, J. Cole, Ludacris, Mac Miller, Kygo, and Jhené Aiko.

Miguel Leg Drop

While performing his hit single "Adorn" at the Billboard Music Awards in 2013, Miguel made a failed leap across the stage that resulted in him landing on and injuring two women in the audience. The incident became known as the "Miguel Leg Drop," and went viral online via myriad gifs and other memes.

Acting

In addition to making music, Miguel has acted in some films. In 2016, he played a Cuban-American gangster in Ben Affleck's period crime drama "Live by Night," and the year after that appeared in Kathryn Bigelow's period crime drama "Detroit." In 2020, Miguel voiced the evil Dr. Arcannis in the Netflix animated film "Fearless."

Political Advocacy

Miguel is involved in some political causes. He has partnered with Revolve Impact and headlined the Schools Not Prisons tour, spreading awareness of mass incarceration in California. Miguel has also worked to promote awareness of the corruption and abuse present in the US immigration system. In early 2019, he teamed up with Benny Blanco and Calvin Harris to release a music video for the song "I Found You," in tandem with a nationwide campaign exposing the challenges faced by immigrants waiting for asylum.

Personal Life

In 2005, Miguel began a romantic relationship with model, singer, and actress Nazanin Mandi. The two got engaged in early 2016 and married in late 2018. They eventually divorced in 2022 on account of irreconcilable differences.

Real Estate

In February 2022 Miguel paid $4.9 million for a home in LA's Los Feliz neighborhood. The seller was Leonardo DiCaprio, who bought the home four years prior for $10,000 higher than his sale price. DiCaprio bought the home from producer/performer Moby.

What is RiceGum's Net Worth?

RiceGum is a YouTuber and rapper who has a net worth of $8 million. RiceGum is known for his numerous diss tracks, vlogs, and online feuds with other YouTubers. Since creating his main channel on the video-sharing site in 2012, he has amassed over ten million subscribers and more than two billion views. As a rapper, RiceGum had his biggest commercial success with his 2017 debut single "It's Every Night Sis," featuring fellow YouTuber Alissa Violet.

Early Life and Education

RiceGum, whose real name is Bryan Quang Le, was born on November 19, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is of Chinese and Vietnamese ancestry. As a teenager, Le went to Sierra Vista High School in Spring Valley, where he played on the school basketball team. He went on to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, but dropped out during his freshman year to focus full-time on his online career.

YouTube Career

Le launched his main YouTube channel, RiceGum, in 2012; the name would become his moniker. He soon became notorious for his many online feuds with other YouTubers, including iDubbbz, James Rallison, Bhad Bhabie, and Gabbie Hanna. The lattermost personality accused RiceGum of hitting her and shattering her phone at a party in 2017. RiceGum has also been involved in a number of controversies related to his YouTube videos. In mid-2018, he drew major flak for a video he uploaded of himself in Hong Kong in which he asked patrons and staff at a local McDonald's if they had dog on the menu. RiceGum was heard in the video declaring that "Asians eat cats and dogs in China." The video was widely decried for being culturally disrespectful and ignorant, and was eventually removed from YouTube. RiceGum defended himself by saying he was merely "joking around," an apology that was regarded as insincere by many observers.

RiceGum generated more controversy in early 2019 when he and Jake Paul promoted the website MysteryBrand, which promised to offer users prizes but failed to follow through. As part of his apology, RiceGum gave away Amazon gift card codes to users who had been scammed by MysteryBrand; however, it turned out many of the codes had expired. RiceGum got into more hot water in 2021 when he partnered with the esports and entertainment group FaZe Clan to promote the Save the Kids token, a purported charity cryptocurrency token that ended up being a pump-and-dump scheme. Despite his many controversies, or maybe because of them, RiceGum has amassed over ten million subscribers and more than two billion total views on his main YouTube channel. He also has two other channels, RiceLive and FamilyGum.

"Frick da Police" reached number 45 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number 67 on the Canadian Hot 100.

RiceGum closed out 2017 with the release of the Christmas song "Naughty or Nice." Early the next year, he released the songs "Bitcoin" and "Fortnite n Chill." RiceGum's other songs have included "DaAdult," "My Ex," and "Contract Money Freestyle," all of which came out in 2020. He also made a guest appearance in the video for fellow rapper and YouTuber KSI's song "Earthquake," although the video was later removed from YouTube following a dispute he had with KSI.
