What is Keyshawn Johnson's Net Worth and Salary?

Keyshawn Johnson is a former professional football player who has a net worth of $20 million. Keyshawn Johnson played 11 seasons in the NFL as a wide receiver from 1996 to 2006. After starting out with the New York Jets, he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys before ending his playing career with the Carolina Panthers. Following his retirement, Johnson worked as a football analyst for ESPN and appeared on some reality television shows.

Salary, Contracts and Career Earnings

Keyshawn Johnson earned a total of $45 million in salary during his NFL career. He signed a 6-year, $30 million contract with the New York Jets in 1996, a 7-year, $50 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2000, and a 3-year, $10 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys in 2004. He also earned $500,000 in bonuses during his career. At his peak, Johnson was one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL.

Early Life and High School

Keyshawn Johnson was born on July 22, 1972 in Los Angeles, California. He had a troubled youth marked by gang crime, and in middle school spent nine months in a California youth facility after being arrested for possessing cocaine, marijuana, and a handgun. Johnson went on to attend Palisades High School and Susan Miller Dorsey High School, playing football at the latter in his senior year.

Collegiate Career

Johnson began his collegiate career at West Los Angeles College, where he lasted just eight games on the football team due to poor behavior and failure to show up to practice. After sitting out the following year, he returned to football and did well enough to secure a transfer to the University of Southern California. At USC in 1994, Johnson posted 66 catches for 1,362 yards and nine touchdowns. The year after that, he recorded 102 catches for 1,434 yards and seven touchdowns. Johnson went on to help lead the Trojans to victory in the 1995 Cotton Bowl Classic, where he was named the MVP. He subsequently helped the Trojans win the Rose Bowl in 1996.

New York Jets

In the 1996 NFL Draft, Johnson was chosen with the first overall pick by the New York Jets. During his three seasons with the Jets, the team saw a huge turnaround from a dismal 1-15 record in 1996 to a 12-4 record and an AFC East Division title in 1998. Johnson had one of his greatest performances in an AFC divisional playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1998, during which he caught nine passes for 121 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown. However, the Jets fell just one game short of the Super Bowl after losing the AFC Championship Game to the Denver Broncos.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Johnson was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the spring of 2000. He ultimately spent four seasons with the team through 2003. Johnson had his best season in 2002, when the Bucs posted a 12-4 record en route to winning Super Bowl XXXVII against the Oakland Raiders. He recorded 76 catches for 1,088 yards and five touchdowns during the regular season, and in the Super Bowl had six catches for 69 yards. Johnson's career with the Bucs came to an end prematurely due to his acrimonious relationship with new head coach Jon Gruden.

Dallas Cowboys

In the 2004 offseason, Johnson was traded to the Dallas Cowboys, reuniting him with his former Jets coach Bill Parcells. He had an impressive first season with the Cowboys, leading the team in receiving yards and tying for the lead in touchdown catches. Johnson played one more season with the team before being released in the 2006 offseason to make room for newly acquired receiver Terrell Owens.

Carolina Panthers

After being released by the Cowboys, Johnson signed a four-year deal with the Carolina Panthers. During the team's "Monday Night Football" game against the Bucs in November of 2006, Johnson scored a touchdown, making him the first NFL player ever to score a touchdown with four different teams on "Monday Night Football." However, after just a single season with the Panthers, he was released on the first of May in 2007. Toward the end of the month, Johnson announced that he was retiring from the NFL.

Post-Retirement

The same day he announced his retirement, Johnson announced that he was joining ESPN as a football analyst. In 2007, he was part of the NFL Draft broadcasting team and did analysis for "Sunday NFL Countdown" and "Monday Night Countdown." On those programs, Johnson invented a segment entitled "C'mon Man!," in which panel members highlighted moments from the previous NFL week. He later became an analyst on ESPN's "Who's Now" competition and began appearing on SportsCenter and ESPN Radio. Johnson left ESPN in 2023.

Among his other post-retirement activities, Johnson had an A&E reality television interior design show in 2009 entitled "Keyshawn Johnson: Tackling Design." A few years later, he starred in an acclaimed ad campaign for Jägermeister. In 2013, Johnson competed in the 17th season of the dance competition television show "Dancing with the Stars." Paired with professional dancer Sharna Burgess, he was the first celebrity to be voted out.

Personal Life

Johnson has three children named Keyshawn Jr., London, and Vance. He also had a daughter named Maia who passed away in 2021.

Beverly Hills Mansion

In roughly 2002, Keyshawn bought a 4-acre property in Beverly Hills for an undisclosed amount. In 2003 he finished construction on an 11,200 square foot opulent mansion. He sold this home in 20016 for $11.5 million. Here is a video tour of the home from when it was listed by a different owner in 2011:

Calabasas Mansion

In 2015 Keyshawn paid $2.2 million for a mansion in Calabasas, California. He sold this home in February 2022 for $3.36 million. Here is a video tour from before he bought the home in 2015:

Ruggs was driving his Corvette at over 150 mph when he crashed into Tintor's car, which was stopped at a red light. Tintor and her dog were both killed instantly. Ruggs was arrested on charges of DUI resulting in death and reckless driving. He was released by the Raiders the same day.

What is Todd Marinovich's Net Worth and Salary?

Todd Marinovich is a former professional football player who has a net worth of $20 thousand. Todd Marinovich played for NFL's Los Angeles Raiders, as well as for the AFL and the Canadian Football League. Todd Marinovich is best known for playing quarterback for the Raiders before his career was cut short mostly due to his drug addiction. He was also known for his intense training as an athlete.

Early Life

Todd Marvin Marinovich was born on July 4, 1969, in San Leandro, California. He was raised on the Balboa Peninsula of Newport Beach by his father, Marv, who was a lineman and captain for the 1962 national champion USC Trojans, and his mother, Trudi, who was a high school swimmer who dropped out of USC to marry Marv. Todd had a successful high school sports career at Mater Dei High School. He became the first freshman to start a varsity football game in Orange County. After his parents' divorce, he transferred to Mission Viejo's Capistrano Valley High School where he broke the all-time Orange County passing record and later the national high school record with 9,914 yards, with 2,477 coming in his senior season alone. Todd Marinovich received numerous honors and gained national attention with almost every major college program recruiting him.

Marinovich enrolled at The University of Southern California where he had an abrupt start in which he was thrust into the starting lineup due to injury. He only continued to improve and was named the College Freshman of the Year in 1989. He entered the 1990 season as a Heisman Trophy candidate, but due to personal difficulties, his play became erratic and he was suspended for skipping classes. Todd was arrested for cocaine possession before entering the NFL Draft.

Pro Football Career

With the 24th overall pick in the first round of the 1991 NFL Draft, Todd Marinovich was selected by the Los Angeles Raiders. His play was up and down, and his NFL career was short-lived. In 1992, Marinovich ended his career with the NFL due to his substance abuse problem, and after failing his third NFL drug test, Marinovich was let go. After his time with the NFL, he tried to sign for CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers but was injured and unable to play. His drug abuse worsened and he was at that time using heroin. He spent time in more than one jail. In 1999, the Chicago Bears and the San Diego Chargers showed an interest in signing Marinovich but he was unable to pass his physical. That's when he signed, instead, with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. His substance abuse became even worse and he decided not to stay with the BC Lions.

In 2000, he signed with the AFL, playing for the L.A. Avengers, but this would be the last team of his career. By 2001, he had been suspended from the team for his unacceptable behavior. Since then he has been in and out of jail, as well as rehab and has had several arrests for possession and use of illegal substances. In 2008 after staying clean for a year, Marinovich began lecturing at Newport Coast Recovery, a treatment center for drug and alcohol abuse.

What is Dez Bryant's Net Worth?

Desmond Bryant is a retired American football wide receiver who has a net worth of $16 million. Dez Bryant earned his net worth thanks to his roughly $54 million in NFL career earnings.

Dez Bryant played in the NFL between 2010 and 2020, primarily with the Dallas Cowboys. During his tenure as a Cowboy, he earned three Pro Bowl selections and was named an All-Pro in 2014. Bryant finished his playing career with the Baltimore Ravens.

Contracts

In 2015, Dez signed a five-year, $70 million contract with the Cowboys that included $45 million in guaranteed money. This was a significant contract for a wide receiver, and some people argued that it was too much money for a player who had not yet proven himself to be a consistent performer. However, Bryant went on to have two of his best seasons in 2016 and 2017, and he helped the Cowboys win two NFC East titles.

Bryant's career came to an end in 2018 when he was released by the Cowboys. He signed with the New Orleans Saints, but he tore his Achilles tendon in his first game with the team and was lost for the season.

Early Life and High School

Desmond Bryant was born on November 4, 1988 on Galveston Island, Texas to 15-year-old mother Angela. He had a difficult upbringing, as his mother was arrested for dealing crack cocaine when he was eight. While attending Lufkin High School, Bryant spent time living in eight different homes. He found his calling as a football player, and in his junior year at Lufkin led his team to a 14-1 record. As a senior, Bryant recorded 53 receptions for 1,207 yards and 21 touchdowns, and was named an All-State selection. He also competed in track and field in high school, and was one of the top competitors in Texas in the triple jump.

Collegiate Career

Recruited by a number of programs coming out of high school, Bryant ultimately chose to attend Oklahoma State University, where he played for the Cowboys football team. For his freshman year, he finished second on the team with 43 receptions for 622 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns. Bryant had an improved sophomore season, posting 87 receptions for 1,480 receiving yards and 19 receiving touchdowns; as a result, he was named an All-American. That would be Bryant's last full year playing at Oklahoma State, as he was ruled ineligible for most of the 2009 season due to violating an NCAA bylaw.

Dallas Cowboys

In the 2010 NFL Draft, Bryant was selected by the Dallas Cowboys. He had an impressive rookie season, posting 45 receptions for 561 yards and six receiving touchdowns, and becoming the first Cowboys rookie to record multiple punt returns for a touchdown in the same season since Kevin Williams in 1993. Bryant improved his stats in 2011 with 63 receptions for 928 yards and nine touchdowns, and did even better in 2012 with 92 receptions for 1,382 yards and 12 touchdowns. For the 2013 season, he finished with career highs of 93 catches and 13 touchdowns, and was selected to his first Pro Bowl. Bryant had his single most productive NFL season in 2014, catching 88 passes for 1,320 yards and recording an NFL-leading 16 touchdowns. As a result, he made his second consecutive Pro Bowl. The Cowboys went on to the playoffs, where they fell in the Divisional Round to the Green Bay Packers.

At the start of the 2015 season, Bryant suffered a foot injury that sidelined him for many weeks. He returned in Week 8 in a loss to the Seattle Seahawks. With only nine games under his belt that season, Bryant finished with 31 receptions for 401 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He dealt with injury again in 2016, and finished with 50 receptions for 796 yards and eight touchdowns in 13 games. The Cowboys returned to the playoffs that year, where they once again fell in the Divisional Round to the Packers. Bryant was also named to his third Pro Bowl. He played his final season with the Cowboys in 2017, finishing with 69 receptions for 838 yards and six touchdowns as the team missed the playoffs. Bryant was released by the Cowboys in the spring of 2018 after having played eight seasons with the team.

New Orleans Saints

Nine weeks into the 2018 season, Bryant signed a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints. However, after tearing his Achilles tendon during team practice, he was placed on injured reserve and was never able to play any games with the Saints.

Baltimore Ravens

After taking off the 2019 season to recuperate from his Achilles injury, Bryant joined the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad in 2020. He was elevated to the team's active roster in November, before being sidelined with COVID-19 in December. In the Ravens' Week 15 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Bryant caught his first touchdown pass since 2017. He finished his abbreviated season with six receptions for 47 yards and two touchdowns.

Legal Trouble

In 2011, Bryant was sued for nonpayment of legal fees and jewelry he acquired on credit while he was a student athlete. The case was settled in court. The following year, Bryant was arrested on a domestic violence charge for allegedly hitting his biological mother Angela. Later, in the summer of 2016, he was sued by Texas state senator Royce West for allegedly damaging West's rental home in DeSoto, Texas.

Personal Life

Bryant has two sons named Dez Jr. and Zayne. He is in a relationship with Ilyne Nash.

What is Sebastian Janikowski's Net Worth?

Sebastian Janikowski is a Polish American former professional football player who has a net worth of $20 million. Sebastian Janikowski, AKA "Seabass," played in the NFL for 19 years as a placekicker, primarily for the Oakland Raiders. He's the organization's all-time leading scorer and appeared in more games with the franchise than any other player. At one point, he tied the league record for longest successful field goal at 63 yards, which is now the third longest in history. The 6-foot-1, 260-pounder was well-known as one of the larger kickers in the game.

Early Life

Sebastian Pawel Janikowski was born on March 2, 1978, in Walbrzych, Poland, the only child to Henryk and Halina. His father moved to the United States in the early 1980s with hopes of reviving his professional soccer career. His parents divorced and Sebastian was left at home with his mother where he began to excel at soccer. At 15, he earned a spot on the Polish under-17 team. His father's marriage to an American citizen meant Sebastian could legally immigrate to the United States where he attended Daytona Beach High School and was a USA Today High School All-American in football.

College Career & Character Concerns

Janikowski played college football at Florida State University where he was a Consensus All-American in 1998 and 1999 and also won the Lou Groza Award both years. In August 1998, he got into a fight outside a Tallahassee bar and was charged with failure to leave the premises. The same year, he got into a fight at a local bar and was charged with battery after a season-ending win over rival Florida. His skill as a kicker was unquestioned, but his off-the-field behavior became a cause for concern for NFL scouts. And in January 2000, Janikowski was partying with friends when one was arrested at a nightclub. Sebastian offered to pay the officer to let his friend go and was arrested for attempting to bribe an officer.

NFL Career

With the 17th overall pick in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft, Sebastian Janikowski was selected by the Oakland Raiders despite his character concerns. He's one of only three placekickers to be selected in the first round of an NFL Draft. In 2011, Janikowski was a Second-Team All-Pro selection in addition to making the Pro Bowl. He played for the Oakland Raiders from 2000 through 2017 becoming the franchise's all-time leading scorer with 1,799 points and appearing in more games for them than any other player. Sebastian Janikowski played one season for the Seattle Seahawks in 2018 before announcing his retirement from the game in April 2019.

For his career, Janikowski made 436 of 542 field goals for an 80.4% completion rate to go along with 446 touchbacks.

Contracts & Career Earnings

In December 2004, Janikowski signed a five-year, $10.5 million deal with the Oakland Raiders. In February 2010, his four-year, $16 million contract extension made him the highest-paid kicker in NFL history at the time. He signed another extension with the Raiders in August 2013 for four years worth $15.1 million, and his last contract in the league came with the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year, $2 million deal.

Over his career, Sebastian Janikowski earned more than $53.2 million in salary alone.

In the 2011 NFL Draft, Kelce was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round. After starting in the third preseason game against the Cleveland Browns, he became the starter for the Eagles' regular season in September. He was named the starting center again in 2012, but missed the majority of the season after suffering MCL and ACL injuries in September. The following year, Kelce started his 100th-consecutive Eagles game and was selected to his fourth Pro Bowl. In 2021, he was selected to his fifth Pro Bowl and earned first-team All-Pro honors for the fourth time. After contemplating retirement in 2022, Kelce signed a new one-year contract with the Eagles. That season ended up being a great one, as the team reached Super Bowl LVII against the Kansas City Chiefs. With Kelce's brother Travis playing for the Chiefs, it was the first Super Bowl ever to have two brothers playing on opposing teams. Ultimately, the Chiefs won the championship.

Other Media Appearances

Beyond playing football, Kelce has appeared on some television shows and podcasts. Along with his Eagles teammate Beau Allen, he appeared in a Super Bowl-themed episode of the sitcom "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" in 2018. Later, after playing against his brother in Super Bowl LVII in early 2023, Kelce appeared alongside his brother in a sketch on "Saturday Night Live." Also with his brother, he launched the weekly podcast "New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce" in 2022. Episodes come out every Wednesday during the NFL season.
