Dominic reportedly threatened to release compromising videos and photos of his ex-wife, and he contacted her friends, business partner, and clients to try to get her to give in to his demands. Barbara had been arrested a few months earlier for violating a protection order Leslie had filed against him.

Dominic later revealed that he was in debt and homeless and that he was struggling with alcoholism and a painkiller addiction. In a 2012 interview with the "New York Post," he revealed that he had started taking Vicodin after undergoing knee surgery, stating:

"I never did drugs or drank. Not even wine, and I'm Italian! Pretty soon, I was taking 170 pills a month, prescribed by unnamed doctors, and drinking."

In the interview, Barbara said that he was "studying to be a minister," that he was involved in creating a weight loss vitamin called Enhance, and that he was interested in "putting the chairman of the board who makes Vicodin in prison for life."

After graduating from law school, Shannon moved to Tampa and began working as a lawyer, specializing in sexual harassment and race discrimination cases. Paternity Dispute

During a CNN interview with Larry King in 2006, Stern claimed to be the father of Smith's infant daughter Dannielynn; however, celebrity photographer Larry Birkhead also claimed to be the father. On the girl's Bahamian birth certificate, Stern was listed as the father. He took custody of Dannielynn in early 2007 following the death of Smith. Not long after that, however, a Bahamian court determined from DNA evidence that Larry Birkhead was indeed the real father of Dannielynn. Stern did not contest the ruling, and subsequently helped Birkhead obtain sole custody of the child. He remained on good terms with him over the subsequent years.

Conspiracy Charge

In March of 2009, Stern, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich were charged with conspiracy to prescribe, administer, and dispense controlled substances to an addict; this was not in relation to Smith's death. After the trial, Stern and Eroshevich were found guilty, while Kapoor was acquitted. Later, in 2011, Stern's conviction was dismissed by a judge. It was dismissed a second time in 2015, with the judge claiming that Stern had been unjustly targeted due to being a figure in the public eye.

Libel Lawsuit

Howard K. Stern enlisted the law firm Powell Goldstein to file a $60 million libel lawsuit against journalist Rita Cosby, who alleged in her book "Blonde Ambition" that Anna Nicole Smith's nannies had a sex tape showing Stern and Larry Birkhead in a gay relationship. In her deposition, Cosby revealed that her sources for the sex tape were private investigators Don Clark and Wilma Vicedomine, who had been hired by attorney John O'Quinn. Earlier, a spokesperson for Smith's nannies claimed that Cosby had offered bribes in a failed attempt to contact the nannies. United States Supreme Court

On Halloween in 2005, George W. Bush announced that he was nominating Alito to fill the US Supreme Court seat vacated by Sandra Day O'Connor. Early Life

Rivera was born on July 4, 1943 in New York City to parents Lillian and Cruz Rivera. His mother worked in a restaurant while his father was a cab driver. Rivera initially began working at WABC-TV in 1970 as a reporter for "Eyewitness News." In 1987, Rivera began producing and hosting the daytime talk show "Geraldo," which ran for 11 years. The show featured various controversial guests and was often very dramatic and theatrical. During a 1988 episode, Rivera's nose was broken in an on-air brawl in which guests included white supremacists, Black activist, and militant Jewish activists. The show was so unlike other more traditional news and interview programs that "Newsweek" magazine dubbed it "Trash TV."

James Comey was born on December 14, 1960 in Yonkers, New York to Joan and J. Brien. In the early 70s, the family moved to Allendale, New Jersey, where Comey's father did corporate real estate and his mother worked as a computer consultant. Career Beginnings

Following his graduation from law school, Comey worked in Manhattan as a law clerk for US district judge John M.
